- The connector is the same type used in the MacBook Air laptops of this era, but the MBPr SSDs are shorter and wider, and the drives are not interchangeable.
- Original Apple SSDs offer guaranteed support for macOS and Windows Bootcamp, and come TRIM enabled.
- Can be used for Fusion Drive setup or as a secondary drive.
